First of all, thank you so much for the comments on my previous post. It’s promising
Woohoo…
Okay, this morning, I watched a stage play, at the CAP Theater, entitled My Fair Lady. Good one, really. I have always adored stage plays because I could see the whole thing live. No cuts, no take twos. Yeah, the actors are actually there, in front of me, doing wonders. Yeehah
And today’s play really did impress me. I love the classic air of it, from the dresses to the lines. Also, kudos to the actors for the well-tuned performances. But I have to comment on one thing. The one who portrayed the role of Mr. Higgin’s mother was not that convincing. Her facial expression displayed a, sort-of, static emotion… I mean, she could do better, really… Oh well, no harm intended
All-in-all, the play deserves a super applause :)) What’s more amazing is that the actors are from our school.. Go go go, Carolinians
Anyway , I watched Thin Red Line when I got home from our company study. I don’t really know why I downloaded this in the first place, except that the movie is starred by several notable actors. Woohoo! George Clooney really gets sexier with age. And James Caviezel‘s eyes could break hearts. (FYI, he’s the one who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ and Edmond Dantes in The Count of Monte Cristo.)… And, oh, Sean Penn, one of the best actors of all time… Hahaha! But the movie was focused on the conflict at the Guadalcanal during the 2nd Word War. Well, it’s not that the movie isn’t good. Actually, it won lotsa awards. It just doesn’t fit to my liking. I’m more of a battle-by-swords type. Ha ha ha!
Also, while watching the movie, I noticed something…

Patrick Dempsey and Sean Penn
Well, I say that they terribly look the same. I don’t know if they have the same nationality or something. But this thing cracked me up when I saw Thin Red line. Why haven’t I noticed this before!?
How about you? What do you say?

I like stage plays, too. My school mates starred in our county production of Sweeney Todd, and they were great. It was so weird seeing them act, though, especially the one who played Sweeney; his personality was soooo different.
Never seen the Thin Red Line, but if it’s a war movie, my dad will probably end up making us watch it at dinner some day. He loves war movies…maybe it’s just a Marine thing…

PATRICK DEMPSEY IS GORGEOUS!!! My friend saw him at the supermarket by our university, and I was so jealous I hadn’t gone!!!!
I should really look into more stage events at my campus because I’m really lacking in the arts department
#3 by tricia on September 20, 2009 - 7:20 am
im not that into plays but it whenever i get to watch one, it amazes me because you’re right, there are no take two’s. one wrong line and it could mess up one whole scene. so yeah, stage play actors deserve standing ovations.
george clooney is S-E-X-Y. enough said
#4 by anne on September 20, 2009 - 10:30 am
i’m not active in watching stage plays,
it’s just… it was I who’s been acting on the stage and being watched.
I’ve been to theatrical plays way way back and I miss doing it now. Boo.

Aww, that’s nice. I want to watch stage plays too, but unless I get out of this city I won’t be getting a decent one. And lol, you could pass off as a critique. Very well said. (: They DO look the same. HAHA.

Thoughtful comments and very well written and presented. But what are these interjections – Woohoo…, Yeehah.

Hi Aimee! Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog
I have not catch a play! And I must, at least once. It’s a shame since I’ve just returned from New York (the epitome of Broadway plays) and I didn’t attend to any
#24 by gail on September 24, 2009 - 5:39 pm
well, I only watched one stage play ever.. It’s Mulan in greenhills theatre. and yeah, Watching stage plays is really amazing, special effects are even more realistic than those in tv… ahhhh. =)
#25 by Mhaye on September 24, 2009 - 8:13 pm
I like stage plays but i don’t have opportunities to watch. so lucky you sis. hehe.
hhm i haven’t watched that yet. many girls are really inlove with george clooney. kelan kaya ako? hahaha lol.
#26 by Daniella on September 25, 2009 - 11:25 am
I’ve never noticed it before, but you are right, they do look remarkably similar! I’m amazed I haven’t seen it before!
And I like stage plays, but sadly I don’t get enough opportunities to see them. I live in a large but surprisingly backwards town and can’t wait to get out! If I ever go to a big city that’s top of my list!
And who doesn’t love George Clooney?! :heart beat: Yum
#27 by Lana on September 25, 2009 - 11:12 pm

#29 by Gel on September 26, 2009 - 12:09 am
Woaaah oo nga noh magkamuka sila! Haha astig! I never noticed that before but i’ve seen the movies of both actors anyway. Haha. First time i’ve heard of the Thin Red Line was in the latest episode of One Tree Hill! Haha. Astig.
And yes, what’s good about watching plays is that you get to see them live and it’s amazing how much the actors/actresses have mastered their parts in the performance
#30 by Miss Cherry on September 26, 2009 - 3:35 pm
Wow! Imma big fan of stage plays. I always watch them with my mom kasi she’s a teacher so lagi sila nasa stage plays sa AFP Theater. Ang gagaling!
They’re so good kasi walang take-2 or whatsoever un eh. On the spot, db?

#31 by Lissie on September 26, 2009 - 11:06 pm
Never watched stage plays. Too bad.
LOL. At first I thought that was a before and after picture. Yung para, “siya 5 years ago..” “siya now”. Pero different persons pala sila. Like woah, awesome.
#32 by Helene on September 28, 2009 - 1:44 am
HAHA xD They do look like each other. The hair are definitely the same (: They share some of the same features..
Oh yeah, I just couldn’t shorten it more than that so it got really long! (:
I hope so too! Most of my classmates are making it hard to him though ): They’re sometimes a little mean actually. They are complaining too much and not just towards him. Everyone they don’t like. They are not even giving him a chance and I just found out that they talked about making people sign a paper that they wanted him out of the school!? They haven’t actually done it yet but the fact that they’re talking about it.. GAH!
#33 by Kimeh on September 29, 2009 - 4:46 pm
Di ako makarelate.
Di pa kasi ko nakakanuod ng Stage Play eh.

#34 by Ieyel on September 29, 2009 - 5:02 pm
I have watched plays twice and i really like it, because you can feel more the essence of the one your watching. Anyway i don’t know that movie and the person, but they look somehow the same
#35 by Wilhelmina on October 11, 2009 - 9:54 am
I was at CAP, but didn’t get to see the play. Boo
I never realized Sean Penn and Patrick Dempsey would at one point even look the same. LOL
But you’re right, there’s a huge similarity right there!
#36 by aimee on September 20, 2009 - 12:10 pm
