I woke up at around 1:30pm today… Uh-huh, 1:30pm. But who cares anyway? It’s our sembreak already. I can roll out of bed any time I want. LMAO! Talk about sloth
But my vacation started as early as Saturday last week. Yes, because last Saturday I was on a road-trip (which I found out later on) with Eugene and his cousin’s family
First, we went to Simala. With my almost-four years of living here, last Saturday was the first time that I had a chance of knowing what it feels like to be there. Well, I still consider that place as one of Cebu’s most sacred places regardless of the many rumors going around.
But one thing I don’t understand is why do they still put a price on the candles (those inside the church) when it was just recycled from the melted ones. And it’s Php5, mind you.. I was like, Okay! Why didn’t they ask for a donation instead? Considering that other churches are giving it away for free… Oh well, that’s just what I thought.
So, moving on to the fun part
Kawasan Falls, baby. And I just realized that everything about that day was a first. Yes, that was also my first time in Kawasan and it was a total BLAST!!! It was funny because Eugene only mentioned Simala, so I simply clothed myself with tee, jeans, and sneakers. Yeah, you can imagine how unsuitable my outfit was. Good thing, Kuya Dexter’s mom decided to just stay in the cottage. So, I already had a more appropriate swimming get-up. LOL! The worst part was going back to our truck. Since Eugene & I wore sneakers on our way there, we had to walk back with oh-so-bare-feet. And that’s for 15mins with a not-so-friendly walkway.

Welcome :D

Falls...
Kawasan Falls is one of the most popular destinations to locals and outlanders alike. It is located in Badian, Cebu which is roughly a 3-hour drive from the city. From the entrance, you will have to do a brief nature-trekking about 15mins to reach the falls
Truly, there’s nothing more rewarding than being one with nature. Feeling the chilly breeze caressing your cheeks. Seeing the graceful flow of water as it dances its way down. Dipping in the cold rush of liquid… In a nutshell, Kawasan Falls is undeniably magnificent <3

Wow, it looks really pretty. I love how green everything is. I like hanging outside, but in the kind of suburb I live in, there’s just nothing to do. You don’t see too many 16 year olds “playing”. I would ride my bike, but it’s all rusty.
Makes me really want to hike or something.

Wah! i wanna go to those kinds of places. In Cavite, we have historical places, but not too much of some places like a waterfall or something. I haven’t seen falls yet!

I’m not the nature type of person but the site is very lovely indeed
It’s cool that you got the chance to explore those wonderful places. Hassle naman yun na may bayad pa ng 5 pesos yung candle :s Badtrip din minsan pag may church tas may entrance fee eh. Weird lang ng feeling na kelangan magbayad just to enter a sacred place :s
