PLDT MyDSL Override Car Drifting Exhibition

I decided to take half the day off from the OJT :) I don’t know. I think I’m just too lazy to function today. I still have this freakin’ colds and it sucks big time. Yeah, I’ll work later in the afternoon nalang :)

Anyway, how are you doing guys? I’ve been meaning to update last weekend but there were just some things I needed to do first.
If you are my Facebook friend, you may have noticed my profile picture :) But in case you did not….

with Ryan Agoncillo

with Ryan A.

(original photo here :p ) It was actually taken last April 11, 2010 ;) Ryan is so cute, I know.

The four-time drift champion, Alex Perez, was also present. He did some cool stunts that left my jaw hanging. He really is good. Gio Rodriguez, the youngest drifting champion, also did amazing (added to the fact that he’s cute :p ) LOL!!! I just hope that we were included in those lucky spectators to ride (in the passenger’s seat). I mean, it was one big of an event and I don’t know when I will be able to witness another scene like that. I think I missed my chance. And I got frustrated that it was somehow close to anger, but decided not to dwell in that sentiment since there’s no point.

Pia Boren, the Philippine’s first female drifter (super cool, right?), and Isabel Oli were also there. Ryan Agoncillo showed off some of his drifting skills. He said that if he were to rate himself, he’s just a beginner. He also admitted that Judy Ann, his wife, learned faster than he did and she’s better than him. How pretty is that!

Well, I was really happy I went to the event. It was my first time to actually see someone do the drifting thing. What a sport! It’s exciting. I hope I get to see more.

(The event was live via PLDT Watchpad.)

Thanks to Clarence & Doyzkie for the photos.

Feed my eyes…

First of all, thank you so much for the comments on my previous post. It’s promising :) Woohoo…

Okay, this morning, I watched a stage play, at the CAP Theater, entitled My Fair Lady. Good one, really. I have always adored stage plays because I could see the whole thing live. No cuts, no take twos. Yeah, the actors are actually there, in front of me, doing wonders. Yeehah :D
And today’s play really did impress me. I love the classic air of it, from the dresses to the lines. Also, kudos to the actors for the well-tuned performances. But I have to comment on one thing. The one who portrayed the role of Mr. Higgin’s mother was not that convincing. Her facial expression displayed a, sort-of, static emotion… I mean, she could do better, really… Oh well, no harm intended :) All-in-all, the play deserves a super applause :)) What’s more amazing is that the actors are from our school.. Go go go, Carolinians :D
Anyway , I watched Thin Red Line when I got home from our company study. I don’t really know why I downloaded this in the first place, except that the movie is starred by several notable actors. Woohoo! George Clooney really gets sexier with age. And James Caviezel‘s eyes could break hearts. (FYI, he’s the one who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ and Edmond Dantes in The Count of Monte Cristo.)… And, oh, Sean Penn, one of the best actors of all time… Hahaha! But the movie was focused on the conflict at the Guadalcanal during the 2nd Word War. Well, it’s not that the movie isn’t good. Actually, it won lotsa awards. It just doesn’t fit to my liking. I’m more of a battle-by-swords type. Ha ha ha!

Also, while watching the movie, I noticed something…

Patrick Dempsey and Sean Penn

Patrick Dempsey and Sean Penn

Well, I say that they terribly look the same. I don’t know if they have the same nationality or something. But this thing cracked me up when I saw Thin Red line. Why haven’t I noticed this before!?

How about you? What do you say? :)
