Eventful :D

I had gone on an almost-hiatus phase. Yeah, no real updates for almost a month now. Pretty sad :(
When I was in GenSan, I couldn’t find time to surf the Net since all we did was party, hang out, etc. :disco: I’m really not complaining though, since everything was a total blast. From the arrival, to the departure, almost no dull moments. That is all thanks to Kuya Jaypee :D *hugs* Seriously, that was the only vacation that I could hang out without bringing a cent ;) It was like he wanted us to make the most out of our time there without minding the amount of money he spent.

It was also in GenSan that I had slept super late. Late as in 6:30am :P I could hardly believe it myself. Everyone was just laughing and chatting and playing around. ‘Twas like we could hardly talk because of so much laughter. Truly, one of the most unforgettable Christmas vacations ever :D Unfortunately, I had to leave before the New Year since our flight back to Cebu was scheduled on the 30th of December. I really think it would have been nicer if I spent the dawn of 2010 in GenSan. You know, for a change. Anyway, our New Year celebration in Leyte wasn’t that great because the heavy downpour was hindering us to enjoy the fireworks outside. Usually, we stay outside our roof at 12am. Thanks to rain, this year we didn’t because the coldness was too much to bear :wtf: Oh well!!!!

Anyway, here are the selected GenSan photos I promised on the previous post: :alert:

Southbound…

I woke up at around 1:30pm today… Uh-huh, 1:30pm. But who cares anyway? It’s our sembreak already. I can roll out of bed any time I want. LMAO! Talk about sloth :P
But my vacation started as early as Saturday last week. Yes, because last Saturday I was on a road-trip (which I found out later on) with Eugene and his cousin’s family :D
First, we went to Simala. With my almost-four years of living here, last Saturday was the first time that I had a chance of knowing what it feels like to be there. Well, I still consider that place as one of Cebu’s most sacred places regardless of the many rumors going around.

But one thing I don’t understand is why do they still put a price on the candles (those inside the church) when it was just recycled from the melted ones. And it’s Php5, mind you.. I was like, Okay! Why didn’t they ask for a donation instead? Considering that other churches are giving it away for free… Oh well, that’s just what I thought.

So, moving on to the fun part :D Kawasan Falls, baby. And I just realized that everything about that day was a first. Yes, that was also my first time in Kawasan and it was a total BLAST!!! It was funny because Eugene only mentioned Simala, so I simply clothed myself with tee, jeans, and  sneakers. Yeah, you can imagine how unsuitable my outfit was. Good thing, Kuya Dexter’s mom decided to just stay in the cottage. So, I already had a more appropriate swimming get-up. LOL! The worst part was going back to our truck. Since Eugene & I wore sneakers on our way there, we had to walk back with oh-so-bare-feet. And that’s for 15mins with a not-so-friendly walkway.

Welcome :D

Welcome :D

Falls...

Falls...

Kawasan Falls is one of the most popular destinations to locals and outlanders alike. It is located in Badian, Cebu which is roughly a 3-hour drive from the city. From the entrance, you will have to do a brief nature-trekking about 15mins to reach the falls :D
Truly, there’s nothing more rewarding than being one with nature. Feeling the chilly breeze caressing your cheeks. Seeing the graceful flow of water as it dances its way down. Dipping in the cold rush of liquid… In a nutshell, Kawasan Falls is undeniably magnificent <3
