I know I’ve been “missing in action” for a couple of weeks. First, there was school. Then, there was our educational and “non-educational” tour (the latter includes our appearance at SHOWTIME & the wild rides at Enchanted Kingdom. I’m gonna post the details of that soon enough.) And now, there’s my OJT! Yeah, I have work Monday to Friday, and over 9 hours per day. Exhausting, huh!  But it’s not the work that tires me, but the idle moments in between. Now I realized that not having to do something makes people go mad that they start to throw things… Ha ha ha, kidding there.

So, after a week of work, I think it’s best to have fun and relax. Well, my “summer” kind of fun usually includes the beach stuff, but unfortunately I still can’t because the “beach stuff” also includes money situations, and that is disheartening because I am currently wandering in the labyrinth of financial crisis. It’s hard to escape, yes. So, for the meantime, I’m just gonna settle for a movie at home or maybe just a book. It’s still a pretty consolation, you know. I love ‘em both. And I heard that Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Sqeakquel is already available on DVD. You can buy it now. :))

I guess all your wishes came true. I, indeed, had a very happy birthday. Well, more than half of the day wasn’t all that great. Stressful because of our Market Expo. I went home with a heavy heart, body, and mind… The moment I reached my dorm, someone knocked on the door outside. I was expecting my cousin because I borrowed a jumper from her. But when I opened the door, it was him I was speechless. He arrived by 11am that day and I had no idea… It was the biggest surprise I was so happy that tears came rolling down. Tears of joy, yes.

He told me to change my clothes because we had to go somewhere. I thought we were going out for dinner, but we went to the airport. Ha ha! Second surprise. My mom arrived from Pampanga She brought a cake from Red Ribbon and a whole lot more

It was a day full of surprises. And I could barely contain the happiness I felt. Sadness gone.

On the 28th, Eugene left for Maasin, so he could spend time with his family and friends there. I really wanted to go because I miss my hometown, too Well, he came back to Cebu on the 3rd of March. ‘Twas a Wednesday and I had a class until 4:30pm. And the night before, I reserved 2 movie tickets for Miss You Like Crazy through sureseats.com. :)) It was a good one. The patience part was really emphasized and it was heart-warming. John Lloyd’s expressions never fail to make wonders.

And on the 4th of March, which was also Eugene’s departure date, (thank God my class was still at 3pm) we went to BDO near the Ayala mall because something went wrong with his ATM. The money just disappeared from his account. The attendant told us to call their Makati office. Not so much help we got there… Anyway, we went inside the mall for lunch. And then I saw this poster just below the label CINEMA 1. It was then that I realized that March 4 was the release date of Alice in Wonderland, the movie that I had waited long to see. I, actually, planned to watch in SM tomorrow so I can watch it in 3D. But, I then realized that Eugene wouldn’t be here any longer, so I decided to watch it with him on that day Anyway, my class was still at 3 and the movie was only until 2:30 First showing on the first day. I’m so happy! <3

It was a good movie, too. Johnny Depp was, is, and always will be, my favorite actor. Ha ha! Helena did great also. Woot woot! Tim Burton does wonders. Kudos to them all.

So, it was, generally a good day. I enjoyed the whole time he was here.

But, it’s okay. There were lots of delectable dishes here. And the silverware and dinnerware sets are colorful. Ha ha ha! I feel like we’re a super lazy being since all we did was sleep-eat-sleep-eat-blah2x. And we always have Coke. Oh God! This is so unhealthy. Plus, their drinking glasses are big.
We also went to the mall yesterday, the KCC Mall of GenSan. It was were Manny Pacquiao celebrated his birthday recently. And in going home, we passed by his mansion. It was just along the road, and near my uncle’s home also I was amazed by the design. And it’s huge. The gate also is lalalove Almost perfect.

Also, we’re going to the newly-opened Robinson mall tomorrow to watch Avatar. FINALLY!!! After lotsa times of postponement

I’ve seen When Harry Met Sally last week. Yes, it’s a romantic comedy, and I love it. Romantic comedies are adorable. One scene you’ll laugh, then others will make you cry, and you’ll laugh again. And if lucky enough, you’ll realize that the movie is your story. Yeah, maybe someone was following you the whole time and then *poof* they made a movie out of your ordinary life. Ha ha ha! It can be true, you know. *Dream on!*

Actually, I only downloaded this movie because of that last line of the quote. I was fascinated. I think, that line is really true because it’s like love in a nutshell  That when you already found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you truly don’t want to let go… And it’s funny because I have waited for that line the whole time, only to find out that it was only uttered at the last part. Oh man! Save-the-best-for-last was highly justified.

It’s a Wednesday and my class started at 11:30 in the morning. It’s supposed to be 10:30 but the teacher is out of the country, for the reason I don’t know.. But it made not much of a difference because I still woke up an hour before the time hahaha.. sloth!

Remember about the face-up roller I told you about on my previous post? Oh yeah, it arrived already.. I was a bit surprised because I had expected it to arrive later this month, or next month, maybe.. But, yeah, it arrived this morning.. Woohoo! I used it immediately and it felt good. Now, I can have a free facial massage everyday. Nice!

I would love it better if it was purple.. But it’s still cute. Not the lousy pink.

Anyway, I watched Chocolat about an hour ago. Hahaha, call me silly but I don’t care. I just love watching JD movies.. Actually, the movie was nice, but it’s not his best, really.

Haha! It’s pretty rainy in here. I love it. Well, only if it’s night time I just arrived home from my 6-7pm class and I’m thankful because I arrived before the drizzle started.

First thing I did was turn on the laptop and opened Vuze because I am downloading The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus I am deeply happy because finally (yes, finally) I have found a torrent file of the movie already. I was really looking for this one for, like, months now. You know, the trailer’s super great. Plus, Johnny Depp. How could I not watch this?! Ha ha ha, I am a super fan. Oh God, I hope this thing would finish downloading already. You just don’t know how excited I really am <3

And yeah, have you heard? People Magazine hailed Johnny Depp as The Sexiest Man Alive for 2009 <3 Yes, baby, for the second time. First was last 2003… I feel like having a Thanksgiving Party and eat this one…

So off topic. Sorry guys, I’m just real hungry right now. Have you eaten your meal already? Because I still haven’t. And my tummy’s growling like crazy right now. So I need to go.

But most students, and even teachers, were not really good followers of this schedule. Uh-huh, that includes me Who wants to face books and solve problems on the first day of class anyway?… Ha ha, sembreak hangover.

So the gang went to SM :)) woohoo.. It was totally unplanned. Spur of the moment.

We really wanted to save and the thing at SM Cinema 7 was a total wonder. They have this Film Fest which brings your favorite movies back on the big screen. And I heard that this will go on until December 3 (correct me if I’m wrong). Oh yeah! I got to see Drag Me to Hell for only Php15.. Ha ha ha.. Although I am a scaredy cat, suspense movies oftentimes amuse me.

Yeah, Drag Me to Hell is a bit fine. I went screaming on some parts, thanks to the sound effects. Without the heart-pounding sound, it wouldn’t be that frightening, eh?
After the movie, Eugene and I went to BDO to pay for the Internet. Good thing the queue wasn’t that long And after that, we headed to the food court. Cam-whoring session with the gang again
And, by the way, I bought a face up roller via ebay.ph .…

Well, this is was actually inspired by Princess (former PBB Housemate) I also heard that this is really good for blood circulation… So I am, roughly, $3 short on my Paypal. And another 3 for another item, and.… *sigh* I never learn

Quite a quote to start with, eh? That is actually a Johnny-Depp-line. Oh yes! Really, it is. And I’m getting all excited.

Yesterday, I was browsing through PerezHilton’s site and one post got my attention. It was the “First Trailer Of Heath Ledger’s Last Film!” This information is kinda new to me because I really thought that The Dark Knight was his last. I don’t usually read the whole article on Perez’s site since it is mostly shitty, but this one got me. Ha ha ha! That’s not the best part yet…(or, at least, for me!)

As I read the remainder of the article, this was what I found: “.…stars Jude Law, Johnny Depp, & Colin Farrell, who all stepped in for Heath after his death.”

That just about made my day. Ha ha ha! I know I’m being silly. But I just love JD. He’s a good person. He learns from his mistakes. And he’s a magnificent actor, making every character he portrays comes to life.

So, back to the film, it is entitled The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. It’s a fantasy film. I searched for some info over the WWW. And I’d like to share the plot:

In the present day, immortal 1,000-year-old Doctor Parnassus leads a traveling theatre troupe—including a sleight of hand expert, Anton, and a dwarf, Percy—that offers audience members a chance to go beyond reality through a magical mirror in his possession^. Parnassus had been able to guide the imagination of others through a deal with the Devil, who now comes to collect on the arrangement, targeting the doctor’s daughter. The troupe, which is joined by a mysterious outsider named Tony (portrayed by Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell)^, embark through parallel worlds to rescue the girl. –from here.

Right then, I decided to watch this film. It’s not only because JD’s part of it… I love fantasy films. It somehow gives our imagination a little time to play. From the trailer below, you can see how visually breathtaking it is. Enjoy!

Fun Facts:

• He will be playing the iconic vampire, Barnabas Collins, in Dark Shadows (the next Tim Burton film). But the production of this movie will have to wait until Johnny finishes the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean.
• During a Christie’s auction of entertainment items, Edward Scissorhands’ scissorhands was one of the top earners, selling for an astounding $16,000!!!
• Martin Scorsese is set to helm an authorized biopic of Frank Sinatra and….. Universal’s first choice for the role is the talented Johnny Depp.
